India’s Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are emerging as a formidable force in the country’s IT landscape, challenging traditional IT services companies in both job creation and revenue generation. While the IT sector remains dominant, employing 54.3 lakh engineers in 2024, GCCs are rapidly closing the gap, with employment rising from 14 lakh in 2022 to 22 lakh in 2025E—a 57% growth in just three years.
