Sonoco Products Company, a global sustainable packaging solutions provider, has opened its new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. The centre, named Sonoco Performance Hub, has moved to a permanent facility, and currently employs 145 technology professionals.

The GCC is focused on advancing Sonoco’s digital transformation, leveraging analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and deliver value to customers worldwide. The centre is developing technology solutions that support Sonoco’s global operations in sustainable packaging.

The establishment of the GCC in Hyderabad reflects the city’s growing importance as a hub for technology and innovation. Hyderabad has attracted numerous multinational companies in recent years, with over 400 GCCs now operating in the city.

Sonoco’s decision to set up a finance centre of excellence in Hyderabad indicates the company’s intent to expand beyond its technology functions in the city.
