Syensqo Inaugurates Global Capability Center in Pune to Boost Digital Capabilities
Syensqo, a Belgian global leader in chemical manufacturing, has inaugurated its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, strengthening its footprint in the country.
The new GCC will support Syensqo’s global operations by delivering advanced digital capabilities, including cloud, ERP, cybersecurity, and data and AI engineering. The centre is expected to play a key role in driving innovation and supporting the company’s global transformation initiatives.
“Another investment from a Belgian company in India! Syensqo, a Belgian global leader in chemical manufacturing, has inaugurated its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune. A big step forward in its Indian journey!”, the Embassy of Belgium in New Delhi said on a LinkedIn post.
“This GCC will power Syensqo’s global operations through advanced digital capabilities, including cloud, ERP, cybersecurity, as well as data & AI engineering. It will assist Syensqo to innovate and to drive its global transformation,” the Embassy said.
Syensqo has been active in India since 2005, with manufacturing facilities in Gujarat and Maharashtra, an R&I centre in Vadodara, and sustainable farming initiatives in Rajasthan. The opening of the Syensqo GCC aligns with the momentum of Digital India and the push for technological innovation in India, the embassy said.
“Our Economic Counsellor Patrick Govaert and hub.brussels Trade & Investment Commissioner Bart Vandeputte were delighted to join the inauguration in Pune, marking an important moment for Belgium-India collaboration,” the embassy said. “The inauguration of the Syensqo GCC aligns with the broader momentum of Digital India and India’s push toward technological innovation. The move reinforces India’s growing position as a strategic hub for global digital and capability centres”.
