India’s Emerging Enterprise GCCs Surge, Delivering $14.2 Billion in Revenue
India’s emerging enterprise Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem has entered a new phase of scale and maturity, with over 610 GCCs collectively employing over 462,000 professionals and generating US$14.23 billion in cumulative revenue for FY2025, according to the ANSR’s Emerging Enterprises GCCs in India Landscape Report 2025.
“This shift reflects a redefinition of the GCC operating model. Emerging enterprises are building centres that are lean, high-impact, and designed around digital engineering, data, AI, and core product capabilities, enabling global outcomes with remarkable agility,” said Vikram Ahuja, Co-Founder of ANSR.
Key Findings
– Rapid Growth: The number of GCCs in this category has nearly doubled in 15 years, supported by deep engineering talent availability, scale-ready digital infrastructure, and a maturing innovation-led environment.
– Private Equity Participation: 64% of new GCCs established since 2020 are PE-backed, with centres delivering 50-60% efficiency improvements and higher product velocity.
– Technology and SaaS Dominate: Technology and SaaS continue to dominate adoption patterns, accounting for 56% of emerging enterprise GCCs.
GCC Hubs
– Bengaluru: Remains the country’s largest emerging enterprise GCC hub with over 205 centres, backed by talent density and innovation depth.
– Hyderabad: Has emerged as one of the fastest-growing destinations due to infrastructure readiness, progressive policies, and a rapidly expanding talent pool.
Emerging Locations
– Non-Metro Cities: Now account for 14% of all emerging enterprise GCCs, with Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Vizag, Jaipur, and Indore gaining traction as high-quality, cost-effective hubs for specialized and domain-led teams.
Future Outlook
– Growth Projections: The segment is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of about 14%, with GCCs for emerging enterprises likely to cross 1,200 by 2030.
