LG to Set Up GCC in Noida With ₹1,000 Cr Investment

LG’s upcoming Noida centre, built on a 27,129 sq m plot, is expected to create 500 jobs, strengthening the city’s position as a tech hub.

South Korean consumer electronics major LG Corporation will set up a global capability centre (GCC) in Noida’s Phase-II industrial sector involving an investment of ₹1,000 crore with strong focus on research & development (R&D).

A high-level LG Corporation delegation met today with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NOIDA M Lokesh on November 4 to finalise plans concerning their significant new investment in the region. 

“LG confirmed its commitment to investing ₹1000 Crore (approximately 10 billion Indian Rupees) to establish a new Global Research & Development (R&D) Centre within the Phase-II industrial plot. Key Investment Details,” the NOIDA authority posted on X.

The centre will be built on a 27,129-square-metre plot in the Phase II industrial area.

The project aims to create around 500 new jobs and strengthen Noida’s position as a growing research and technology hub, ultimately boosting its regional economic growth. The meeting focused on finalising project logistics and timelines to ensure steady implementation.

According to the Noida Authority’s post on X, the collaboration demonstrated continued confidence in Noida’s infrastructure and policy environment. The authority added that the meeting “ensured smooth progress on the project’s logistics and timeline, reinforcing the strong collaborative relationship between LG and the Noida Authority.”

“The establishment of this state-of-the-art facility underscores LG’s focus on innovation and technological advancement and is expected to significantly boost NOIDA’s standing as a hub for high-tech research and development,” the post on X said.
